Buttercupsby ~Penny-Royalty

Buttercups are the subject of this illustration. I just love that bright simple flower. I was inspired to draw them after seeing a field filled with them where my husband and I were planning to wed later in the year. Late spring is such a beautiful time in the NW!

Drawn on sketch paper then colored in with colored pencil. I use a colorless blender pencil to rub the color in to get a smooth texture and richer color.
